Position Overview

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Cloud Architecture Design

    • Design scalable and reliable cloud solutions using AWS and GCP.

    • Ensure architectures meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.

  • Resource Optimization

    • Analyze and optimize cloud resource allocation to minimize costs.

    • Implement cost-effective solutions for infrastructure management.

  • CI/CD Automation

    • Automate CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.

    • Manage and enhance deployment workflows to reduce lead times.

  • Infrastructure Development

    • Develop and maintain core data processing and service layers.

    • Ensure seamless integration of services to support scalable operations.

  • Incident Management

    • Act as an escalation point for production incidents, ensuring swift resolution.

    • Proactively monitor systems and address issues to maintain uptime.

  • Security & Compliance

    • Implement and maintain standards for PCI-DSS compliance, ensuring secure data handling across cloud infrastructure.

    • Conduct compromise assessments to proactively identify vulnerabilities and respond to potential breaches.

    • Lead patch management cycles to ensure system integrity and minimize security risks.

  • Disaster Recovery & Testing

    • Plan and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) drills, ensuring business continuity and data protection in alignment with recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs).

OKRs

  • Design and implement a scalable cloud architecture ensuring 99.9% uptime.

  • Reduce cloud operational costs by 20% within six months.

  • Automate 90% of deployment processes, reducing deployment time by 50%.

  • Ensure average incident resolution time is less than 30 minutes for critical production issues.

  • Develop a comprehensive monitoring and alerting system within three months.

Requirements

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Cloud Computing, Infrastructure Engineering, or equivalent.

Experience

  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in cloud engineering or a similar role.

  • Proven expertise in managing and optimizing cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).

Technical Expertise

  • Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS and GCP.

  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).

  • Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).

  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

  • Expertise in monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Go, or Java.

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
